I woke up this morning to my mom saying that David Bowie had died last night. It was definitely not an ideal way to start the morning. He was battling cancer for 18 months. He’s not suffering anymore, which doesn’t really make his death less painful for his family, friends, and fans, but it helps a bit. He just turned 69 on Friday.
He lived a great life. He changed the world of music forever. He was an icon. Personally, my favorite song he did was actually a version of Under Pressure with Queen.
Thank you, David, for your contribution to music and culture. This world would not have been the same without you. May you rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Go make music with Freddie, ok?
