If you’ve followed my blog for any amount of time, you know how important ending HIV/AIDS is to me. I want to see these diseases be eradicated. There was a statistic I saw that said that HIV/AIDS is more prevalent in places where poverty is the norm. Therefore, one thing that can be done to end these diseases is to take poverty and hunger. There are things YOU can do to help!
-Answer trivia questions on freerice.com. Every correct answer donates 10 grains of rice to someone in need around the world. This may not seem like much, but so many people participate on the site so it adds up.
-Click to donate on The Hunger Site and The Veterans Site through greatergood.com. These free daily clicks send food to those in need nationally and globally. Each click sends a part of food, but it adds up after so many people click.
-Donate to your local food pantry or soup kitchen. Whether you donate money it good, every little bit makes a huge difference. Even donating your time to serve a meal is important.
-Participate in a local walk that seeks to end hunger locally, nationally, and/or globally. Many times, you’ll ask family, friends, and anyone else you know to sponsor your walking efforts and the money will go to the cause.
-Participate in the annual Red Nose Day festivities. This day seeks to raise money and awareness for childhood hunger and poverty worldwide. Their website has a list of ways to get involved and help out the cause!
